At 5 km from the capital of Mykonos you will find the magnificent beach of Platys Yalos, considered one of the best beaches of the island. It is located in a bay surrounded by beautiful hills. It takes just 12 minutes by car to reach the beach.
The cleanest sand, transparent sea, atmospheric restaurants and taverns, children's playgrounds are sure to please its vacationers. The coastline offers many apartments and hotels, but you can also rest here for a day and go on to explore the island.

Coastal taverns and restaurants will please you with an abundance of fresh fish, seafood. Also traditionally offer olives, local cheese and homemade dried sausages.
Very tasty onion pie with goat cheese Tirovolia, bruschetta with soaked breadcrumbs and spicy Kopanisti sheep cheese. Try the dolmadakia, which are grape leaves stuffed with tender meat and rice stuffing.
For dessert try the traditional baklava, amigdalota (almond cookies) and bougatsa (which is custard made of semolina on phyllo dough). The sweets pair perfectly with traditional Greek coffee.
Tip
Don't limit yourself to relaxing on the beach, walk a little further inland and you'll see a completely different, non-touristy part of the resort. Traditional white houses with blue windows rise on a hill, offering an incredible view of the coastline. It's especially beautiful to watch the sun go down into the sea from above.
If you stay until evening, the beach becomes a nightclub with discos and delicious cocktails.
